Subj: Carrier Command
Dear Eric,
I also agree with your opinion of Carrier Command. I believe the realism
of the graphics is amazing. Unfortunately, I have to disagree with your
hint of always destroying the command center. I have destroyed the Enemy
Carrier and captured all the islands and ended up with a final score of
1,169,080, and the only command centers that I destroy are those found on
the Defense Islands. When you need to take an island and make it a
Enter command or friendly island quickly, I've found that sending a
Manta in to take out the defensive guns and a Walrus in with a Virus
bomb to take considerably less time than waiting for an ACCB to set
up a destroyed island. If by this time you still haven't seen the Enemy
Carrier (although Idon't know how you could have missed it after ++30
hours playing), just make sure that the "REPORT" option is highlighted
and when you are informed that the carrier is attacking a nearby island,
take off for it. When you get in range of the island under attack, send
a Manta on a reconnasainse(sp) mission to locate it somewhere around the
island. If you can hear bombing on the still-friendly island, then
you'll know the EC is still in range. It takes many different
combinations to take out EC- IT DOESN'T DIE EASILY!!!! I/ve killed it
several times, but only actually SAW it be destroyed once. BE CAREFUL!!!!
If you don't attack it aggressively, IT WILL ATTACK YOU--VERY
AGGRESIVELY!!! Please take no offen seat my comments, because honestly
none is intended. Good Luck with the game. I hope you find EC, and
let's hope they keep coming out with games of this quality.
Sincerely yours,
Another Carrier Command Addict
