KIDSONG1: MAKIN' AIKEN
by D.A. Brumleve, 987
****************************************
KIDSONG1.PRG & AIKEN.PI1 are the only
files needed to enjoy this program.
**************************************
This program is mouse-controlled and
runs only in low resolution. Reading
ability is helpful, but not necessary.
It is suggested that parents assist
non-readers the first few times they
use the program. Once the song is
learned, even small children are un-
likely to require assistance. KIDSONG1
is recommended for (and by) children
ages 3-10. Children have the most
fun and get the greatest value out
of the program when they are willing
to sing along as the computer plays
each verse.
This KIDPRG is written in GFA BASIC.
Most previous KIDPRGS were written in
ST BASIC and compiled with the LDW
Compiler. KIDPRGS cover a variety of
computer-use categories and are in-
tended to introduce the young child to
computers as well as to provide enter-
tainment and/or instruction. The search
string "KIDPRGS" will elicit a listing
of all such programs in the ST
Libraries on GEnie.
Your feedback is welcome. Address mail
to D.A.BRUMLEVE on GEnie.
Hope your children enjoy this one; the
song is a good one to learn for long
trips in the car. Future KIDSONGS are
in the planning stages, and many other
ideas are in the works.
D.A. Brumleve
*By the way, although the program in-
structions do not suggest it, it is
possible to exit the program between
verses.
