  9. After releasing ABC Jumble on Compuserve and GEnie I received a lot of mail
  10. asking for a version that jumbled numbers instead of letters. If your kids
  11. played with ABC Jumble then they will have lots of fun with 123 Jumble. The
  12. documentation is pretty much the same. Additions include the ability to
  13. choose a maximum number from 1 to 25, a new winners dialog box and musical
  14. notes that count up with the numbers instead of playing the alphabet song.

  18. Most of the educational offerings for the ST require a colour monitor. It's no
  19. wonder that children are more attracted to the bright colours then to the dull
  20. grey monochrome display but I know of many families that only own the mono
  21. monitor. This simple program lets kids sort the numbers after the computer
  22. jumbles them up. Its GEM interface and point and click environment make it
  23. simple even for the littlest user.

  25. When first run, 123 Jumble fills the screen with GEM windows and then pops
  26. the numbers 1 through 25 inside each. The drop down menu OPTIONS will
  27. let you:

  29.                            JUMBLE UP THE NUMBERS
  30.                  The computer randomly mixes up the windows
  31.  
  32.                            START ALL OVER AGAIN
  33.            Place all the windows back in correct numerical order
  34.  
  35.                          COUNT THE NUMBERS FOR ME
  36.         Even when the numbers are jumbled you can still count them
  37.      in the correct order with a little computerized help! Musical notes
  38.            will play and count upwards along with the numbers!

  40.                           SHOW ME THE HELP SCREEN

  42.                           placement of the numbers

  44.                           COUNT UP TO WHAT NUMBER?
  45.               Parents can set the maximum number from 1 to 25
  46.                        as children learn the numbers

  48. To move a number window simply click on top of it with the LEFT mouse button
  49. once. The number will turn dark. Then click on the spot you want to put the
  50. number down. The two numbers will switch positions! Keep it up until all the
  51. numbers are back in the correct order and the child will be presented with a
  52. tune and a winners box showing how many turns it took! You may want to do a
  53. screen dump of the winners box (ALT-HELP) and print out a copy for your child.

  55. Kids can also click the RIGHT mouse button over top of any number and hear
  56. the correct musical note!
