  1.      Here are a few notes to the game MacPan
  2.  
  3.      The game is written with Megamax C by Richard Beith
  4.  
  5.      The following files are in the ARC file. Please put them all 
  6.      in the same directory.

  17.      I really believe that I don't have to explain the game 
  18.      MACPAN because it's so popular. If you really don't know how 
  19.      to play it, leave me a note in my mailbox and you'll get a 
  20.      short describtion.

  22.      Anyway...
  23.  
  24.      1.   Every 10.000 points you'll receive another life
  25.  
  26.      2.   There is a special two-players option. Two people are 
  27.           playing at the same time. This is much more difficult 
  28.           because you always have to be really sure which one 
  29.           your Mac is. Also it takes much more time to get the 
  30.           10.000 points for the extra life.

  32.           Note:     If one of the players lost all lifes the 
  33.                     second player will be dead, too (play 
  34.                     together, loose together!)

  36.      3.   You can play MACPAN either with the joystick or the 
  37.           keyboard. The movements are:
  38.  
  39.           2 - down
  40.           4 - left
  41.           6 - right
  42.           8 - up
  43.           SPACE - Turbo
  44.  
  45.      4.   There's a special turbo-support for the Mac. That 
  46.           means, if you push the fire button (or SPACE) your Mac 
  47.           will increases its speed for a short while.
  48.  
  49.      5.   By the way, there's a cheat-modus implemented in the 
  50.           game. Tell me if you found it (I haven't 'til yet).

  52.      6.   Don't forget to type in your name in the title screen, 
  53.           otherwise the name "Player1" will be in the hiscore 
  54.           list. The ESC-key doesn't work here - use the BACKSPACE 
  55.           key.
  56.  
  57.      7.   The RETURN key will pause the game and with ESC you're 
  58.           leaving the actual game without transferring your score 
  59.           in the high score list.

  61.      8.   There's also a slider bar in the title screen. Here you 
  62.           are able to set the beginning speed. I recommend to 
  63.           leave it the way it is. To see how fast this game could 
  64.           be put it to the right side.

  66.      I've translated the .RSC file of this game for your 
  67.      convenience - so everything in the main-screen will be in 
  68.      English. In respect of the authors copyright I left the 
  69.      original RSC-file on the disk which has been renamed to 
  70.      TITLE.RSX. To get the German version of the game just rename 
  71.      the file TITLE.RSC to TITLE.RSE and the file TITLE.RSX to 
  72.      TITLE.RSC (who ever needs it).
