  1.  About ABIOSHEL.PRG

  4. This is specifically for users of the SuperCharger PC/XT emulator.  It
  5. prevents the SilkMouse 3.2 screen saver from engaging while ABIO.TOS is
  6. running.  (Screen savers in general cause problems with the SuperCharger).
  7. Also if you use ICD hard disk driver software, it allows you to use the write-
  8. cache feature in ST mode without it causing any problems in PC mode.
  9. Furthermore, it causes ABIO.TOS to skip its usual "Insert MS-DOS boot disk"
  10. message and keypress prompt, at least for SuperCharger software version 1.5.

  12. ABIOSHEL.PRG works only with ABIO.TOS, not the ABIO.ACC desk accessory.

  14. To use ABIOSHEL.PRG, copy it into the directory containing ABIO.TOS.
  15. Optionally, also copy ICD's CACHEON.PRG and CACHEOFF.PRG into the same
  16. directory.  Do not rename any of these files.  Now whenever you would normally
  17. run ABIO.TOS, run ABIOSHEL.PRG instead.

  19. CACHEON.PRG and CACHEOFF.PRG versions prior to 1.22 contain a two-second delay
  20. for readability.  This delay is skipped in later versions when called from
  21. ABIOSHEL.PRG.
