  1.         This is a list of the specificallities of this archive.
  2.         
  3.         This is CoNnect 1.96 which is probably the very best comm package
  4. around. I CAN say that since I am not the author, but a REGISTERED user.
  5.         I have rearranged the files to make the package easier to use for
  6. English speaking users.
  7.         The documentation is in directory DOC/ENGLISH. Directory DOC also 
  8. contains a file called DEUTCH.TOS, which is a self-extracting archive 
  9. containing the original German documentation.
  10.         The directory called RESOURCE.S/ENGLISH contains a backup copy of the
  11. the English resource file. File RESOURCE.S/DEUTCH.TOS is a self extracting 
  12. archive containing the German resource file.
  13.         The executable itself (CONN1_96.PRG) has been compacted to use less 
  14. disk space using PFX.PRG. It is otherwise unmodified and may be uncompacted
  15. to exact original format using LZH.

  17.         I have included another directory (MODULEN) containing two programs 
  18. which may be used by Connect as external modules for X-modem, Y-modem Z-modem
  19. and Kermit file transfers. Those are available elsewhere, but it is nicer to
  20. get everything in one package. THEY ARE NOT PART OF CONNECT and should be 
  21. registered separately if you are to use them regularly. Run them separately
  22. to get the required information.

  24.         The error messages that are issued during loading for the first time
  25. should be ignored. They will dissappear once Save Options has been performed
  26. in main menu, and Save Setup has been performed in Terminal Menu.

  28.         I have been using Connect for a fair amopunt of time, and may ba able
  29. to answer some questions, although the author is VERY quick in answering
  30. questions and the quality of his English is quite adequate.
