  4. You may upload this demo anywhere or give this demo to anyone you
  5. please (and please do) so long as all of the files remain together.

  7. HOW TO GET YOUR MUG SHOT! DEMO up and running:
  8.  
  9. The files listed below must reside in the same directory for MUG SHOT!
  10. to run properly.
  11.  
  12. MGSHOTD!.PRG        the program
  13. MGSHOTMD.RSC        monochrome resource
  14. MGSHOTCD.RSC        medium resolution resource
  15.  
  16. These demo .MGS file can be loaded:
  17.  
  18. FAMOUSD.MGS         a small sample of the FAMOUS_01.MGS data file
  19. TUNES_1D.MGS        a small sample of the TUNES_01.MGS data file
  20.  
  21. That's about it!  Put the program, resources and .MGS file into the
  22. same directory and then double click MUGSHOTD.PRG to have some fun! 
  23. The demo runs for only a short time so have fun fast!  There are some
  24. features disabled but there's enough there to give you a good feel for
  25. the program.  While you're running MUG module, don't be afraid to try
  26. the RIGHT mouse button as well as the LEFT one.  The RIGHT button is
  27. the "turbo speed" button.  The ALTERNATE key in conjunction with click
  28. gives you "super turbo speed" on some functions.  SHIFT click does some
  29. things too, try it!  There are keyboard equivalents for most of the
  30. buttons and they are located on the numeric keypad and cursor keypad.

  32. The DRAW module has no keyboard equivalents, but you'll be using the
  33. mouse almost exclusively.  Look to the top of the screen for some
  34. hints and help.
  35.  
  36. Don't throw this DEMO away!  Included with this demo is a mere fraction
  37. of the FAMOUS and TUNES files which come with MUG SHOT!  There will be
  38. other .MGS demo files circulating as they are compiled.  The MUG SHOT!
  39. Demo version can load _ANY_ .MGS file just like the real MUG SHOT!  If
  40. you don't like this sample file, check out the others.  You may find
  41. one that's to your liking.  Additional data disks are only $19.95 for
  42. MUG SHOT! and WizWorks! plans to upload some around the BBS's that are
  43. absolutely free, too!

  45. MUG SHOT! will run on any ST with a minimum of 512K of memory and one
  46. double sided floppy drive.  It runs in 640 x 400 monochrome, 640 x 200
  47. medium resolution, or any size big screen monochrome monitors like the
  48. M24LMax (Jay, you gotta come up with an easier name to remember) and
  49. Moniterm.  If you have a hard-drive, just make sure all the files above
  50. for the program are in the same directory and it runs just fine!

  52. MUG SHOT! gives you parts to make faces and other things.  It all
  53. depends on which data file is loaded at the time.  With the release
  54. disk comes the TUNES_01.MGS data file containing some of the goofiest
  55. looking parts to have great fun with!  (demo available for download or
  56. on the demo disk too) It also has the FAMOUS01.MGS file from which were
  57. gleaned the FAMOUSD.MGS MUGs.  More data disks will be available soon
  58. and the first: Mr. Potato Head and MADTUNES drawn by our artists
  59. Doug Bartholomew and George Fenton are already in the compilation stages.
  60. You're gonna love Doug's work and George has a style that's pretty unique.

  62. Each data file contains up to 50 parts in each of the ten parts bins of
  63. MUG SHOT!  Now let's see......  That's 50 to the tenth power just to
  64. start with which makes....

  95. or enlarge EACH individual part from zero to MUG SHOT! window size so

  100. sitting there well into the next century trying to see all of the
  101. combinations available to you with that particular .MGS data file you
  102. finally grow tired of "just seeing the same faces over and over," all
  103. you have to do is just load in a brand new .MGS data file and start all
  104. over from scratch with brand new parts!!!  With MUG SHOT! you'll never
  105. have to say, "Gee! Is that all there is?"

  108. unique features found in no other program, it just "ain't all there is
  109. at all!"

  154. Remember, this file was specially formulated so that the correct parts
  155. which make these folks fit together with their matching counterparts.
  156. That also means that the parts for each of these folks will not fit
  157. too well with other folks.  In other words, if you have Jane Fonda's
  158. chin and Geraldo Rivera's hair, they won't match without some adjustment.
  159. In the real famous MGS file that comes on the program disk, the parts
  160. have been adjusted so that they will all fit together nicely without
  161. the need for much adjustment.

  163. But with that remember too that MUG SHOT! at least has the ability to
  164. allow you to adjust the parts individually!  NO other program of its
  165. kind can do that!  Amazing flexibility!

  167. If you don't want to cheat, then try to put these faces together without
  168. looking at the ANSWERS.TXT file.  After you've had some fun, then go
  169. ahead and look at the ANSWERS.TXT file (print it if you can) and run
  170. MUG SHOT!  Just press the space bar and enter the proper numbers for
  171. the faces you find in the ANSWERS.TXT file.  Yup, they're there alright!
