(46.7 x 33.3 cm) Windsor, Royal Library 12281r-v Leonardo prepared this drawing to indicate the general location of the internal organs of a woman. Although by the time of this study he had already dissected human cadavers, Leonardo's description incorporates several erroneous traditional concepts: the heart, for example, has only two chambers, rather than four. As was his habit, Leonardo jotted a note, in the upper left corner, to remind himself to make a further drawing on the subject-"Make this demonstration also seen from the side"-but there is no evidence that he did so. 210
