Just copy all files from your flex-disk to your hard-disk! Remember,
you have to copy all files! You may suppress the loading of the SAMPLE-
Files and/or the MUSIC-Files by renaming the files 'SAM_OFF.CFX' and/or
'DMA_OFF.CFX' to 'SAM_OFF.CFG' and/or 'DMA_OFF.CFG'.
2. How to play
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
In principle, this game contains two different types of levels:
1. Levels, where the snake will follow your commands directly,
2. Levels, where you have to set a trail. The snake (Alfred) will
follow this trail!
1.:
Here, you have to collect all Jin-Yang-Symbols and you have to test all
?-Bricks, whether there is a bad ghost or a ball underneath it (this is
decided totally randomized, so you have to look again, when you play the
level again). To make this specific test, you have to place Alfred next
to a ?-Brick, then press the Fire-Button to knock on the 'door'. Somtimes,
'nobody' will answer your request: In that case, knock again. But, when
the ?-Brick starts blinking, you can be sure, that soon appear a bad
ghost or a ball will appear. While the ?-Brick is blinking, it shows how
much tries you have left, before you loose a snake (see number on the
'Number-Brick'). You will loose a trie, when you will not be able to
perform the following:
a) A bad ghost appears:
You have to leave the area around the ghost within a second!
b) A ball appears:
You have to collect the ball at once within a second!
While searching for these Jin-Yang-Symbols, you have to solve a lot of
puzzles: Pushing stones out of your way, use specific objects to reach
places, which seem unreachable, use switches to effect specific symbols
and objects, ...! Learn, how to use those objects, symbols and bricks!
Be adviced: Even those objects, which seem not be very useful or do have
some negative side-effects, you have to use from time to time.
NOTE: All objects you have collected are displayed in the object-bar.
To deactivate an object, you have to collect the same object once
more.
2.)
Here, you have set a trail in that way, that Alfred will be able to
reach all Jin-Yang-Symbols. Alfred must not stop. To set a trail, you
have to take an object out of the object-bar and place it on the game-
field. You can do this with the blinking cursor. Pressing the Fire-Button
will set this cursor into the object-bar in case you do not have selected
an object to place earlier before. Choose an object and press the Fire-
Button again: The cursor will jump in the middle of the game-field
(showing the selected object). Here, you just choose the position, where
to set the object and press the Fire-Button: The object will be placed
and the cursor will return to the object-bar. In case the position is
already occupied, the cursor will return to the object-bar without placing
the object. Once Alfred is moving you cannot place another object. You
will be able to follow him thru the different screens by using the
Cursor-Keys or your Joystick.
3. Controlling the Snake
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
To control Alfred, you may use a Joystick or the Keyboard. The hot-keys
for Keyboard-Control are:
- The Cursor-Keys (press two corresponding keys to move diagonaly)
- The left Shift-Key (this is the Fire-Button)!
