A horizontal scrolling arcade strategy
game. Coded for ATARI ST by Janet Dean
and Kathy Steinbach.
Music driver/code, some gfx and code
consultant: G.Wheaton.
Music inspiration: Tangerine Dream.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Fly the joystick controlled helicraft
and collect one diamond at a time.
Return to base with each diamond and
to recharge the gun, the gun holds a
hundred rounds of ammunition so take
care not to run out at a vital moment.
Your score/money, shown bottom right
goes down with each shot fired. Also
your money slowly runs down, reflecting
the running cost of the helicraft.
If your money reaches zero then you are
unable to further continue the mission
and it's game over.
Get more money by returning to base with
diamond cocoons.
The 'HELP' key can be used to skip any
levels you don't like or think too hard
but, it costs 5000 to skip a level.
To exit a game and return to the title
screens press 'F10'.
To pause the game press the space bar.
One extra ship will be awarded as your
score reaches 15000, further ships are
awarded at 20000 point intervals.

STORY:
Survivors of an appocolyptic planet are
stranded in diamond shape cocoons.
The remaining planet occupants,stricken
with mind crippling disease have run
amuck as though taken over by evil.
They are killing and infecting others.
The lucky few who occupied the cocoons
in time are the main target of the mad,
luckily the cocoons are strong enough
to withstand most assaults.
Realising this, the mad are burying the
sane alive under rocky, marshy soil and
planting mines to prevent their rescue.
The cocooned people are safe only for a
time: until their food rations run out,
or until the mad find a way to destroy
their cocoons.
Luckily their distress signal has been
picked up by the benevolent occupants
of a passing starship who presently
dispatch several small helicrafts to
rescue as many cocoons as possible.
As pilot of one of these small rescue
vessels you too have become an enemy of
the mad and must battle the odds to
rescue the innocent, cocooned people.
