When I first setup my bookmarks I placed them all in the single bookmarks file. A couple of people wrote me and pointed out that by limiting the number of info-mac and umich mirrors in my bookmarks file I increased the number of people using a few mirrors. My initial purpose in creating my bookmarks file was to create a file for my own use, rather than for the publics use. This time I bypassed the bookmarks file completely and made it possible for the individual user to choose the bookmarks they want to use.
There are two folders with this text file. One is a Bookmarks folder and the other is Bookmarks (disabled).
Place your old Bookmarks file in some other folder or in the disable folder. Replace your Bookmarks folder with my Bookmarks folder. Use the bookmarks for awhile and then move the individual bookmarks you are not interested in either into the disabled folder or into the trash <grin>.
If I am missing any fantastic sites, get them and add them. Also, send me e-mail listing there addresses.
