  4. I have just completed version 1.0 of MacNews, a shareware NNTP newsreader for non-TCP Mac's.  If you use rn or GNUS from a dial-in host, you may want to consider MacNews instead.
  5. Features:
  6.     Reads, Posts, and Follows-up, of course.
  7.     Subscribe/Unsubscribe/Maintain newsgroups
  8.     Save or append articles to a file on your drive
  9.     Insert files, cut, copy, paste, when composing articles
  10.     Maintains  a list of several sites, each with it's own list of subscribed newsgroups - helpful if you read news from more than one site.
  11.     Much faster, at 2400 baud, than EMACS Gnus.
  12.     Simple, but definitely not trivial
  13.     Works on any modem equipped Mac.
  14.     Didn't even crash at any time during development!

  16. On-line help is availible under the Apple menu.

  18. A default MacNews Settings file is included.  You may delete it if you wish.
  19. MacNews must be placed on a writeable drive (not-locked, not CD-ROM) to work.
