As reported in News, Power Computing's Mac clones are tailored to the general consumer and business markets and are designed to compete head to head with Apple's own 7100 and 8100 Power Macintosh systems. At an average of 20% less expensive than Apple's products, a solid quality Mac clone from Power Computing may take a sizeable bite of Apple's business.

The New Radius System 100 and DayStar Genesis are high-end desktop publishing oriented Macs with a lot of muscle, and are clearly designed to be Adobe Photoshop screamers. While Radius has tailored its system for ease of use, DayStar has left its offering more open to user customization. The Radius System 100 will ship with all drive bays full; conversely, the DayStar Genesis will have at least 3 (and possibly 5) internal drive bays unfilled, and RAM, CPU, and PCI expansion will be simple to accomplish for the non-technically inclined.
