GlueWindow4.2.1 is a donation-ware(see later) Control Panel which has following functions with System7 or later (and with System7.5).
a. GlueWindow GLUEs windows. (Glue function)
GlueWindow enable you to control a window as it glues to neighbor windows when you drag it to move or resize. You can arrange windows with great ease with applications which have many windows like Finder.
b. GlueWindow moves windows as a group. (Strong Glue function) --- new feature!
GlueWindow enable you to control windows as a group (like Finder enable you to control icons as a group with marquee---dotted line).
If you click a title bar with the STRONG GLUE COMBINATION KEY down (You can set the COMBINATION KEY in GlueWindow Control Panel), the mouse pointer changes to cross cursor. Drag with the mouse button down, then marquee will appear and the windows marked with marquee will reverse. If you release your finger from the mouse button, pointer will change to hand cursor next and the reversed windows return to normal (but these frames will be dotted). You can drag the dotted windows as a groups.
c. GlueWindow memorizes window positions for a while. (Push function)
GlueWindow memorizes window positions when you click a title bar with the PUSH COMBINATION KEY down. The default PUSH COMBINATION KEY is shift key.
GlueWindow uses no memory except what is used by system, but forgets so fast!!! If you click zoom box (box at top-left corner of windows) or close box (box at top-right corner of windows), GlueWindow will forget the position memorized (Ha ha ha).
d. GlueWindow moves windows to memorized positions. (Pop fuction)
GlueWindow moves windows to memorized position when you click a title bar with the POP COMBINATION KEY down. The default PUSH COMBINATION KEY is control key.
When you click CloseBox with the POP COMBINATION KEY down, GlueWindow close a window after moving it to rememberd position.
e. GlueWindow moves windows while showing their contents.
If you check Drag direct (no marquee) check box, GlueWindow moves windows while showing their contents. And modifier keys take effect when check their check box.
ATTENTION!
GlueWindow functions will not work proparly with HyperCard and some other applications. But these phenomena are derived from neither bugs of GlueWindow nor bugs of those applications. The specifications of those applications are programmed so. (i.e. those apprications have own drag routines.)
--- How to install GlueWindow ---
All you have to do is to drag&drop 'GlueWindow' Control Panel to 'Control Panels' folder in your system folder. If there is any other version of GlueWindow, please remove it.
Then restart your Mac.

GlueWindow is developed by Takenori Kabeya, based on GlueWindowINIT2 by Takuji Matsubara. But Takuji Matsubara is not concerned with GlueWindow. So if you find any bugs of GlueWindow, please report to Kabeya.
