Infinity Color Pickers are color picker components for use with Apple’s Color Picker 2.0 (which is included in System 7.5). They are available in the standard color picker dialog box used by many applications for selecting custom colors. To access one of these pickers, use the More Choices button at the bottom of the dialog box and select it from the scrolling list.

  10. The color pickers included in this package are fat binaries, meaning that they contain both 680x0 and native PowerPC code.

HSB Square and RGB Square implement pickers similar to those found in Adobe Photoshop™, showing one axis of the given color space in a bar down the side and the other two axes in a square. To change the color component used in the bar, click on one of the radio buttons.  Also, you can click and hold on the Infinity logo icon to view an about box for the picker.

  17. INSTALLATION and SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

  19. Infinity Color Pickers require a Macintosh with Color Quickdraw and Color Picker 2.0 (an extension that is part of System 7.5).

To install these modules, place them inside the Extensions folder which is inside the System Folder (alternatively, you can just drop the color pickers on the System Folder, and they will be redirected into the Extensions folder automatically). You will then need to restart your Macintosh for the new pickers to be available in the standard Apple Color Picker dialog boxes.

  26. • Infinity Color Pickers are © 1995 by Troy Gaul. They can be freely distributed as long as they are not modified, this Readme file is included, and there is no charge for them.
  27. • All online services and bulletin boards may make them available to their users at no charge other than the normal connection fees.
  28. • All non-profit user groups may distribute it.
  29. • All magazines may publish it on floppy disk without asking me first, as long as I get a copy of the issue containing my software.

  54.  • Infinity Color Pickers — a package of color picker modules for Apple’s Color Picker 2.0.
  55.  • Infinity Windoid WDEF — a programmers’ “utility” for giving floating windows a titlebar with a System 7-style color design.
  56.  • InterSLIP Strip Module — a Control Strip module for users of InterSLIP to facilitate connecting to a SLIP host.
