The source code provided has been compiled using Symantec C++ 6.0 (using the THINK C 6.0 compiler) with MacHeaders enabled.  I modified the standard MacHeaders to include AppleEvents.h, Palettes.h, and QDOffscreen.h.  If you are receiving compiler errors complaining about undefined constants or missing prototypes, you will either need to alter your MacHeaders file (see your compiler's documentation) or modify the source code to explicitely load the appropriate headers.
