There's no comparison: The long
nose of the Brazilian tapir can't
compare to the elephant's trunk, but
it does allow the tapir to reach up
to branches and pull leaves into its
mouth. Though tapirs look like they
could be related to elephants or
pigs, their closest relatives are
horses and rhinos. Like rhinos,
tapirs have three %f,10,g\hoof%hoofed toes on
their hind feet--but unlike rhinos,
they have four toes on their front
feet.
