Welcome to Visual C++ MasterClass from Wrox Press.
This CD contains all the source code for the book in the \Source directory as well as an electronic version of the text in the \Book directory. You'll also find some interesting demos in the \Demos directory.
Installation instructions:
The CD is self-contained, and nothing needs to be installed on your hard-disk, but if you wish to compile the source yourself, you will need to copy the projects from the \Source directory onto your hard-disk.
You can do that manually if you choose (if you do, remember to uncheck the read-only attribute for the files!), but there is also an installation program to make the process easier.
This program allows you to choose to install the projects for groups of chapters at a time and also lets you install the VC++ MasterClass help files from the \Book directory into your \Msdev\Help directory as this will improve the performance and free your CD-ROM drive.
The .mdp files have not been included with the projects, but can be re-created by opening the .mak files with Open Workspace... from the File menu in Developer Studio.
The BoundsChecker demo launcher (Bcprevue.exe) must be run from the CD.
