McDonaldland Card Game Party v1.0
Important Program Information.
================================
Welcome to McDonaldland Card Game Party. Listed below is some
important last minute information about this program. Please
read it before using the software.
============================
Adjusting MIDI Music Volume
============================
If the program's music volume is too loud or too soft
on your computer, you can adjust it to a comfortable
level by using the Windows 95 Volume Control. Please follow the
directions below:
1. Click on the Start button on the Taskbar
2. Select: Programs, Accessories, Multimedia, Volume Control
3. The Windows 95 Volume Control Accessory program should
appear.
4. Go to the control labeled "Synthesizer" or "MIDI"
5. Make sure there is a check mark in the box labeled
Select.
6. Use the slider control to set the Volume level for
MIDI sounds and music.
7. Exit the program.

Autorun
==========
Autorun may cause some computers to experience a "palette shift"
(i.e. a color distortion). If a palette shift occurs on your computer,
it is recommended that you access the program through the Start Menu.

Video Modes
=============
Card Game Party's graphics and videos will look and perform better
if you run Windows 95 in High Color (16-bit) mode. We recommend
this setting for best performance. To do this, please follow the directions
below:
To change your system's Video Mode in Windows 95 to High Color mode,
go through the following steps:
1. Click on the Start button
2. Select Settings - Control Panel
3. Double Click on the Display icon.
4. The Display Properties dialog box will appear.
5. Click on the Settings tab.
6. Go to the area labeled "Color Palette" and select the option
"High Color (16) bit" from the list-box.
7. Click on OK.
8. Depending on your system, Windows 95 may ask that you restart
windows for the settings to take effect.

McDonaldLand Screen Saver
Windows 95
=============================
Included with this program is a free McDonaldLand Screen Saver!
To install the McDonaldLand Screen Saver, double-click on the
McDonaldLand Screen Saver Installer icon included in the
McDonaldLand Program Folder, which should appear on your desktop
following installation. This will begin the Screen Saver install
process described below in steps 4-8. You can always install the
program later from the Windows 95 Taskbar.
To Install McDonaldLand Screen Saver from the Windows 95 Taskbar:
1. Make sure your McDonaldLand CD is inserted in your CD-ROM drive!
2. Click on the Start button on the Taskbar.
3. Choose Programs, McDonaldLand, then click on the McDonaldLand
Screen Saver Installer icon. This will begin the Screen Saver
installation process.
4. A dialog box will ask you to wait while the McDonaldLand Screen
Saver Setup prepares the InstallShield« Wizard to guide you
through the rest of the setup process.
5. Next, the McDonaldLand Screen Saver Setup screen will appear.
It is recommended that you exit all Windows programs before
running Setup. You can choose Cancel to quit Setup and close
any programs you have running. Click on Next to continue with
the Setup program.
6. The License Agreement screen will appear next. Click on Yes to
agree to the terms and continue with the Setup program.
7. The Choose Destination Location screen appears next. Click on
Next to install McDonaldLand Screen Saver to the default
directory (or choose Browse and select another destination,
then choose Next to continue).
8. The Screen Saver Setup Complete screen will appear next.
Select Finish to complete the Screen Saver installation.
Using McDonaldLand Screen Saver
You are now ready to run the McDonaldLand Screen Saver.
To run the Screen Saver and adjust the display properties:
1. Click on the Start button on the Windows Taskbar.
2. Choose Settings, then Control Panel.
3. Double-click on the Display icon.
4. The Display Properties window will appear. Select the
Screen Saver tab.
5. Click on the Screen Saver drop down menu and select
McDland. You will see a mini preview in the display window.
6. You can set the amount of time that will elapse before
Windows displays the Screen Saver in the Wait (1) Minutes
section.
7. Select the Settings button to adjust the Screen Saver speed,
change sound effects or turn the sound On or Off.
8. Click on Apply to apply your settings. Click on OK to return
to the desktop.
Note to Users Regarding Sound Cards:
If you encounter any problems while running the McDonaldLand Screen Saver
there may be a conflict with your current Sound Card Driver.
In order to avoid this problem while trying to run the McDonaldland Screen
Saver, we suggest that you turn off the Sound Option in the Program Settings.
However, if that does not solve the problem, we recommend that you contact
your computer or sound card manufacturer for an updated set of sound card
drivers.

Screen Saver settings, please consult the Card Game Party Manual
included on the CD (You must first install Adobe Acrobat, also
included on the CD, to view the Manual).
