  5. Keep it simple to begin with
  6. Although it may be tempting when installing the SPEA SHOWTIME PLUS, to connect your video recorder, stereo, CD-ROM and Camcorder, it is wise not to try to do everything at once. Make sure your CD-ROM drive and sound card (if fitted) are working properly beforehand.
  7. Make the connections properly 
  8. If just one of the cables is not connected correctly, the flow of data from input to output will be broken and one or more parst of your multimedia system will not work properly. As many of the standard cables are very similar, it is possible to make a mistake.
  9. Initialise the SPEA SHOWTIME PLUS and V7-media fx before use
  10. In your AUTOEXEC.BAT file, be sure to include the following lines (normally these lines are automatically added by the software installation program):

  12. CALL C:\SPEA\SHOWTIME\SOUND
  13. (initialises the SPEA SHOWTIME PLUS)

  15. CALL C:\SPEA\GDC\SSINIT GM
  16. (initialises the V7-media fx (if installed)).
