  5. 1. Change to the directory \USTATION

  7. 2. Start the configuration program USCONFIG and select a new driver

  9. 3. Select Display Adapters

  11. 4. Select Vendor Supplied Driver

  13. 5. Select PMGL 86C911 Driver
  14.  
  15. 6. Skip the next item for secondary adapters
  16.  
  17. 7. Select Swap screen status

  19. Note:
  20. You will be asked if you wish to disable the virtual graphics page. If you disable the second graphics page you can choose resolutions up to 256 colors. If you enable it all resolutions will use 16 colors only.

  22. 8. Select Exit and Save

  25. You must reboot your system for the changes to take effect.
  26. The first time you use the driver you will be asked which video mode should be used for MicroStation (a list will be shown for selection). Make your choice. The software then creates a configuration file that the driver will use for subsequent MicroStation sessions.
  27. To permanently reconfigure the driver, erase the file MGL911.CFG in your \USTATION\DRIVERS directory and run MicroStation again.
  28. To change the resolution mode temporarily, set the environment variable MGL911 to one of the following numbers:

  30. 0   640 x 480, 256 colors
  31. 1   800 x 600, 16
  32. 2   800 x 600, 256
  33. 3   1024 x 768, 256
  34. 4   1152 x 870, 256

  36. Example:
  37. SET MGL911=1
  38. If the environment variable finds a legal value it will use this mode to override the value stated in the CFG file.
