  4. This file describes how to 'cyrillize' LaTeX2e.
  5. Special attention is given to installation for EmTeX
  6. (MSDOS-OS/2 implementation of TeX).

  8. The CMCYR2E font distribution presented here was originally uploaded
  9. to CTAN by Vadim V. Zhytnikov (vvzhy@phy.ncu.edu.tw)

  12. I added this INSTALL file to make instllation easier for users
  13. that don't have a lot of TeX/LaTeX experience.

  16. What is required
  17. ================

  19. 1. TeX ver 3.0 or later, version 3.1415 is preferable.
  20.  
  21. MSDOS-OS/2 users:
  22. You can get EmTeX 3.0 from CTAN directory /systems/msdos/emtex
  23. (CTAN is Common TeX Archive Network, its site in the US
  24. is ftp.shsu.edu:/tex-archive).
  25. You also can get beta release of EmTeX 3.1415
  26. from /systems/msdos/emtex/betatest.

  28. UNIX users:
  29. You probably already have newest version of TeX on your system.
  30. Otherwise take a look at /systems/unix of CTAN.

  33. 2. LaTeX2e package. You can get it from CTAN directory /macros/latex.

  36. How to unpack and install
  37. =========================
  38.  
  39. 1. Create directory cmcyr2e and unpack the zip file into it
  40. with preserving directory structure.

  42. For example, in MSDOS:
  43.  
  44. pkunzip -d cmcyr2e.zip
  45.  
  46. 1a. MSDOS users only: In this distribution end-of-line
  47. character for text files is LF.
  48. To convert text files to MSDOS convention (end-of-line is
  49. CR-LF), type "convers.exe +r *.*" in directory cmcyrfnt
  50. and all its text subdirectories (that is, all subdirectories).
  51. Convers.exe is supplied together with this distribution.

  54. 2. Add cmcyr2e subdirectory to TeX input environment variable.

  56. For example, in MSDOS:

  58. set texinput=d:\emtex\texinput;d:\cmcyr2e;
