1.0 Introduction
The MGA Distribution Demo is a free running demo,
designed to demonstrate some of the MGA Millenium's
many unique selling features.

2.0 Running the demo
To run the demo, do the following:
- Install the demo as specified in step 4.0
- Using the MGA Control panel, switch graphics
modes to 640x480x16, 3D enabled, modeswitch off.
- Set the Windows Program Manager to Minimize on
Use (from the options menu).
- double click the icon created during
installation.

3.0 System Requirements
- MGA Millenium (This is necesary, of course)
- 486-66DX2 or better (Pentium for best results)
- x2 CD-ROM (x4 CD-ROM required to play back 30fps
AVI, rather than 15fps)
- 8Mb RAM ???
- 1.02.24 (or later) MGA Millennium PowerDesk drivers
- Video for Windows 1.1e (or later) installed

4.0 Installation procedure
CD-ROM installation (DEMO will run from CD-ROM)
(This option needs no hard disk space, but will run
slower)
- From within the Windows Program Manager,
select FILE, and then select NEW.
- Next, select PROGRAM ITEM.
- In the properties dialogue box that comes up,
type the following for each item, assuming D is
the letter of your CD drive:
description --> MGA-DEMO
command line --> D:\MGA-DEMO\MTRUN.EXE MGADEMO.PCD
working directory --> D:\MGA-DEMO
- Click OK
HARD DISK installation (DEMO will run from HARD DISK)
(This option may run faster, but will require 60Mb of hard
drive space.)
- From withing DOS, type the following:
CD \ {enter}
MD MGA-DEMO {enter}
CD MGA-DEMO {enter}
XCOPY D:\MGA-DEMO /s {enter}
assuming D id the letter of your CD-ROM drive.
- From within the Windows Program Manager,
select FILE, and then select NEW.
- Next, select PROGRAM ITEM.
- In the properties dialogue box that comes up,
type the following for each item, assuming D is
the letter of your CD drive:
description --> MGA-DEMO
command line --> C:\MGA-DEMO\MTRUN.EXE MGADEMO.PCD
working directory --> C:\MGA-DEMO
- Click OK
To then run the demo, double-click on the newly created
icon.

5.0 Common Problems:
- Demo won't run at all - If Windows is installed in a
directory other than c:\WINDOWS, or if the MGA
drivers are installed in a directory other than
c:\MGA, you will need to copy the MTRUN.EXE,
MGADEMO.PCD and MGADEMO.INI file to a directory
on the hard disk, and modify the INI file to
point to the appropriate directory.
- AVI won't play back - Make sure Video for Windows is
installed.
- 3D demo won't run - Make sure the MGA Control Panel has
mode one set up for 640x480x16, 3D enabled.
