  1. Command:        Scan
  2. Purpose:        Display item numbers and item titles
  3. Available at:   Message and Upload area subboard prompts
  4.  
  5. Scan will display a list of the available items.  By default, the Scan command will begin at the last item that was used in any way (read, scanned, etc).  To begin scanning at a particular item number, use something like S7-.

  7. Popular variations of the Scan command include:

  9.                 SN              Scan New items
  10.                 SA              Scan Global New items (all subboards)
  11.                 S 'text'        Scan items with 'text' in their titles or
  12.                                 short descriptions.
