  1. The Lim Slide Show Version 3.00

  4. Thank You for acquiring the Lim Slide Show. This is a Shareware product
  5. that is free for evaluation and distribution for a 30-day period, after
  6. which, you must register the product in order to continue its use legally.
  7. Once registered, you are not allowed to distribute the program anymore.
  8.  
  9. The Lim Slide Show is a multimedia slide show presenter/manager that helps
  10. you to create slide shows of your images, video clips, animation, sound effects,
  11. text narratives and plays them with your music selection on a beautiful background
  12. of changing colors with special transition effects. 
  13.  
  14. It is optimised for 800X600 16-bit/24-bit color display systems but will also 
  15. work in 256-color modes and other screen resolutions. It is recommended that 
  16. you set your display to 800X600 16-bit color for optimum color quality and performance.
  17.  
  18. This evaluation version is fully functional except that it is limited to play only 
  19. 5 slides or up to 10 objects at a time, and you cannot produce slide shows for distribution.
  20. Once registered, these limitations will be removed and you will get another file to allow 
  21. you to configure your favourite slide show as a screen saver (Win 3.x & Win'95 only). 
  22. Registered users will also be able to distribute their slide shows to external parties.

  24. FREE DEMO SLIDE SHOWS

  27. Version 3.00 has the capability to play multiple demo slide show files with no restrictions,
  28. even for unregistered users. At the moment, we offer the Lim Family's TRIBUTE TO PRINCESS 
  29. DIANA and the Lim Family's Christmas slide shows. These slide shows also serve to demonstrate the 
  30. capabilities of our product. You can download our Princess Diana slide show or any other
  31. demo slide shows we offer separately from our program, or bundled together. Please check out

  35. The Princess Diana & Christmas slide shows were designed for 16-bit color with 800X600 screen 
  36. resolution and is best viewed in this resolution. However, 1 of the powerful features of our 
  37. product is that it can resize images automatically to fit any screen resolution & therefore 
  38. can run the Demo slide show on other screen resolutions. Preferably, the color resolution 
  39. should be at least 64K colors (16-bit). It will run on 256-color mode but at the expense of 
  40. image quality (there aren't enough colors on the 256-color pallete).

  42. To run these demo slide shows, click on the RUN button without selecting anything. From the file
  43. selection dialog box, click on DIANA.FGA or CHRIST.FGA. We recommend that you run these demo 
  44. slide shows as an introduction to the power of our product.

  46. You can use our program to create your own Princess Diana or any other 
  47. slide shows of the same or even better quality than our demo. By registering
  48. our program, you will receive setup files to configure our Princess Diana
  49. Slide Show into a screen saver, or you can replace it with your own slide
  50. shows as the screen saver. You will also have the capability to distribute your
  51. work to external parties.

  53. IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR WIN'NT USERS
  54. =================================

  56. The screen saver feature only works for Win'95 & Win 3.x platforms. It
  57. DOES NOT work for Windows NT at the moment. We are working on a solution 
  58. at the moment. If the screen saver is what you want, please DO NOT register 
  59. our program. However, the slide show presenter/manager program works 
  60. perfectly on Windows NT to allow you to create and play your slide shows.

  62. Installation
  63. ============
  64. To install the product, unzip limss232.zip (the 32-bit version) or limss216.zip
  65. (the 16-bit version) to extract the contents into a directory of your choice.
  66.  
  67. Execute lssetup.exe to install the product. When prompted to select a
  68. directory to install the product, you can choose the same directory or a
  69. new one. Upon successful installation, lssetup.exe will create a windows
  70. program group and generate a Product Serial Number. Click on the REGISTER
  71. button in order to view and copy down this Serial Number.

  73. When you decide to register this product, the Serial Number must be sent to
  74. the author to generate a Registration Key. Together, they will unlock the
  75. full capabilities of the product.
  76.  
  77. Besides installation, lssetup.exe will be used to enter your Registration Key,
  78. setup your screen saver and to uninstall the product.
  79.  
  80. It is important for you to record the Serial Number and Registration Key
  81. somewhere as they are proof that you are a registered user of the Lim Slide
  82. Show and entitles you to benefits such as free upgrades and technical
  83. support.

  85. Registration
  86. ============
  87. If you would like to have unlimited slide displays, the ability to distribute
  88. your work as well as to setup your favourite slide show as a screen saver, you 
  89. must register the program.

  91. The registration fee is US$25 and you can perform this online via the Internet

  93. (click on the Register button).

  95. Once registration is confirmed, we will email to you the Registration Key, a 
  96. screen saver setup file and our Tribute to Princess Diana Slide Show file for
  97. you to configure as a screen saver.
