Before Installing this program please read the disclaimer at the
end of the text file.
This install program does not install the program so that it starts
automatically when Windows boots up. To manually do this, follow
the instructions below after TaskBar Reminder has been installed.
This file can be found in the install directory (readme.txt).
You will need to create a short-cut to Reminder.exe in the start-up
folder. To do this:
1. Open Setting -> Taskbar on the start menu.
2. Click on the Start Menu Programs Tab.
3. Click on the add button.
4. Click the browse button and locate the file Reminder.exe.
5. Click on the next button.
6. Scroll down the tree structure until you find the StartUp Folder.
Double click on it.
7. Click Finish.
NOTE ON DATE FORMAT:
This program has not been tested extensively on Date formats other than the British dd/mm/yyyy. If you have problems, try to be as detailed as possible in your bug report so that I can try to emulate your situation. I.E. which language e.g. English(British) and which short date format e.g. dd/mm/yyyy are set on your regional settings of control panel.
If you use an American style date on your computer e.g. mm/dd/yyyy
you will need to change the default date type in the Setup page
from dd/mm/yyyy. You will know if this affects you as the first time
you start the program, you will get an error saying e.g. 16/5/1996 is
not a valid date.
Just click OK after the error and go in#mmediately to the setup screen
(right mouse click the icon in the taskbar notification area), and
change the combo box at the bottom.
If you think you are using dd/mm/yyyy format on your computer but you
still get this problem, chack in the control panel -> regional
settings that the language used is the English(British) not
English(American). On the Date tab you can specify the date formats!
