  8. This is probably the last 1.x version. Next version, which already is in development
  9. will be 2.0.

  11. This version is for MC68020/Kickstart 3.0 and higher. A MC68000/kickstart 2.0
  12. version of AmiComSys version 1.20 may be found at http://surf.to/AmiComSys/

  17. AmiComSys is a program that you use to communicate with other people on
  18. a tcp/ip-net - e.g Internet. At the same time it make it easier to find
  19. people's IP-addresses, for use with Internet games, and home pages.

  21. It uses AMarquee.library by Jeremy Friesner & Håkan Parting for most of
  22. it's network handling.
  23.  
  24. Now you can say "Hello!" to your friends on the net, or just see if they are
  25. online.
  26.  
  27. You can:

  29. * send chat requests
  30. * send WEB-requests.
  31. * transfer files.
  32. * have a public realtime chat
  33. * have a private realtime chat, with photos.
  34. * check your Pagoo message box.
  35. * advertise your homepage, ftp-site, IRC-server, ICQ id and own-made programs.

  103. NEW: Now play full samples if sound.datatype version 40 or better is installed.
  104. If not it still plays maximum 1.8 seconds.
  105. BUG: It didn't work to connect with SendFile to a computer in
  106. the internal network from the Internet router, i.e. the computer having
  107. the actual Internet connection. Reverse it did work and PChat
  108. worked both directions. Outside your network there were no problems to
  109. connect to your computer.
  110. To make it possible for computers on Internet to connect with PChat and SendFile
  111. to your computer which has an internal network ip address, i.e. is behind a firewall
  112. or Internet router you have to enable the "I'm behind a firewall" checkbox in
  113. the AmiComSys network settings.
  114. It still isn't possible to connect with PChat and SendFile between two machines
  115. both having only an internal ip-address, i.e. when the Internet router isn't
  116. involved. This is a feature for AmiComSys 2.0 which still is in development.

  121. NEW: Removed the 'new'-message button. The message text field is now located in the lower
  122. part of the main window, as it originally was in pre 1.25 versions of AmiComSys.
  123. I didn't like the 'new'-button implementation and I don't know anyone which actually did.
  124. BUG: removed a MuForce hit which did happen while a picture was displayed in the PChat window.
  125. BUG: It was not possible to click the status cycle box button to switch the active status,
  126. because it was draggable.
  127. NEW: New AmiComSysRegister utility in the Register drawer. Use this to register AmiComSys
  128. and decrypt the response you will receive by email when your registration have been processed.
  129. NEW: New version of amarquee.library (V50) included.
  130. NEW: New version of Toolbar.mcc and Toolbar.mcp (V15.6) included.
