  7. The reason choose the Client for NetWare Networks as the primary network
  8. is you are using the Novell NetWare server as your primary file and print
  9. server.
  10.  
  11. On a new install on a computer running Windows 95, follow the directions
  12. given to install the NDIS3/NDIS4 drivers in Windows 95 (W95NDIS3.TXT). Then
  13. follow the steps below to change from the NDIS3/NDIS4 driver to the NDIS2
  14. driver.

  16. 1.  In Windows 95, click Start, Settings, Control Panel, then select the
  17.     Network icon.

  20. 2.  The minimum network components that are needed to support a primary
  21.     connection to a Novell network are:
  22.  
  23.     Client for NetWare Networks
  24.     3Com EtherLink 10 ISA Adapter
  25.     IPX/SPX Compatible Protocol
  26.  
  27.     If any of the above components are missing, add them by clicking the Add
  28.     button, and adding the client or protocol component.  The components are
  29.     found in the Microsoft vendor selection on the screen that follows the
  30.     component selection.

  32. 3.  Click Client for NetWare Networks and then the Properties button.

  34. 4.  Under the General tab, set your Preferred Server and the First Network
  35.     Drive.  When done, click OK.

  37. 5.  Set the Primary Network Logon to Client for NetWare Networks and click
  38.     OK.
  39.  
  40. 6.  Once in Network, remove the following network components if you are not
  41.     using the Microsoft file and print sharing (peer to peer) network.

  43.     Microsoft Client for Microsoft Network
  44.     NetBEUI.
  45.  
  46. 7.  When the configuration is complete, press the "OK" button at the bottom
  47.     of the network configuration screen.  When prompted, answer "Yes"
  48.     to restart your computer.
