  11. 1. If the modem is physically configured as a Plug and Play device,
  12. Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows NT4.0 with PNPISA* installed
  13. will prompt you to install new drivers if there are new hardware
  14. found or the modem Firmware is modified.
  15.  
  16. If the .INF files have been copied to the hidden WINDOWS\INF directory, then the device drivers are installed automatically.

  18. Otherwise, Windows will ask for the driver location. Enter the
  19. location of the newly downloaded .INF files. Once the Modem 
  20. Drivers are installed, the Windows will automatically install the Serial Wave device driver for voice support. In case the Windows 
  21. ask for the driver location again, enter the same location for
  22. the Modem .INF file again.

  24. 2. If the modem is physically configured as a Non-PnP device, 
  25. Windows will not detect the hardware automatically. 
  26.  
  27. Goto Windows "Control Panel", and double-click on the "Modems" icon,
  28. Highlight the modem listed in "General" and click on the "Remove" button. Shutdown the Computer and restart the Windows.

  30. Goto Windows "Control Panel" again,  double-click on the "Modems" icon,
  31. Let Windows to detect new hardware.

  33. Once Windows detect the modem, it will install the drivers if the
  34. modem is supported by the existing Windows .INF files, 
  35. otherwise click on "Change" to install the new .INF files.

  37. Click on the "Have Disk" button and 
  38. enter the path of the new .INF files,  
  39.  
  40. Select "Cirrus 56K bps Modem Internal (CL-MD5650) Modem".

  42. Click on "Next" button, verify the modem, and click on "next", then
  43. "Finish".

  47. To install Windows NT4.0 PNPISA support, put the Windows NT4.0 CD
  48. in the CD drive, highlight the .INF in NT4.0 CD PNPISA directory,
  49. click the RIGHT mouse buttom, and select "Install".
