INSTALLATION GUIDE
OS/2 ODI Driver
for EtheRx LC ISA Ethernet Adapter

Introduction:
This installation guide provides instructions for installing the
OS/2 ODI driver.
Configuring Kingston EtheRx LC ISA ethernet adapter:
When you use the Custom install option in QStart, the configuration
of the Kingston EtheRx LC ISA ethernet adapter will be displayed on
the screen. You can manually change the current configuration by using
the 'Manual configuration' option. The default configuration settings
for the Kingston EtheRx LC ISA ethernet adapter are
IRQ (INT) = 3
I/O address (PORT) = 300
Note: You'll need this information in order to configure your driver.
Driver Installation Procedures:
1. Make sure the EtheRx LC ISA adapter is properly installed in
your computer.
2. Insert the WSOS2_1 diskette into the floppy drive.
3. Change to the drive containing the diskette and type "INSTALL"
at the system prompt, then press <Enter>.
4. Select 'Installation' from the menu in "NetWare Workstation for
OS/2 Installation Utility" window.
5. Select 'Requester on Workstation'
6. Follow any screen prompts as they appear.
7. When the "Step 1 - Choose the ODI LAN Driver" window pops up,
click on the 'arrow' next to the adapter list box and the
"System Message" will pop up.
8. Insert the WSDRV_1 disk into the floppy drive and click OK.
Select "NE2000.SYS" and click Continue.
9. Follow all the prompts on the screen until "NetWare Workstation
for OS/2 Installation Utility" window appears up again.
10. The default setting for the Kingston EtheRx LC ISA Ethernet
Adapter are I/O base address = 300 and IRQ = 3, if you changed
the default setting, use 'Configuration' to update 'NET.CFG'.
Select 'Configuration' then 'This workstation', type in the
command needed in "Current NET.CFG file Contents" and save.
A sample NET.CFG file is shown below:

11. Shutdown OS/2 and reset your workstation.
12. The installation procedure is now complete.
