  4. The TE-16PnP Ethernet Card's NDIS 2.01 driver can also be used with the Sun PC-NFS
  5. (version 5.x) environment.
  6.  
  7.  
  8. Follow the steps listed below:
  9. ------------------------------

  11. 1       Be sure PC-NFS is installed on your system and configured for an NDIS
  12.         2.01 driver. See the PC-NFS Installation Procedure Manuals for more
  13.         information.
  14.  
  15. 2       Run "NFSCONF". Select "Adapter" Menu. Select "Ethernet". Select "NDIS".
  16.  
  17. 3       Insert the PC-NFS QUIKNDIS diskette into the floppy drive. Change to
  18.         the drive containing the QUIKNDIS diskette (e.g., "A:\").
  19.  
  20. 4       At the prompt type:
  21.  
  22.                 QUIKNDIS
  23.  
  24.         Then press <Enter>.
  25.  
  26. 5       A message will appear asking for the current boot drive. Enter the
  27.         current boot drive and then press <Enter>.
  28.  
  29. 6       Press "Y" to save the current "PROTOCOL.INI" file as "PROTOCOL.OLD".
  30.         Ignore this step if this dialog box does not appear.
  31.  
  32. 7       In the "Adapter Card List" box, select the "Custom" option to install
  33.         the TE-16PnP Ethernet Card's NDIS driver for PC-NFS.
  34.  
  35. 8       Remove the QUIKNDIS disk from the floppy drive. Insert the TE-16PnP Ethernet
  36.         Card's driver diskette into the floppy drive.
  37.  
  38. 9       Follow the dialog boxes and enter the correct driver and path on the
  39.         TE-16PnP Ethernet Card's driver diskette to install the NDIS driver
  40.         (e.g., "A:\NDIS.DOS\").
  41.  
  42. 10      Enter "PNPND" for the NIF file name and then press <Enter>.
  43.  
  44. 11      Make the appropriate changes to "CONFIG.SYS" and "AUTOEXEC.BAT".
  45.  
  46. 12      Reboot your system.
  47.  
  48.         The installation of the NDIS 2.01 driver for PC-NFS is now complete.
