  4. * NOTE : To Use the A:\DOSODI\NW4X\PNPODI.COM, the version of LSL.COM file 
  5.          must be V2.11 or higher.

  8. Driver Installation From The Command Line Prompt
  9. ------------------------------------------------
  10.  
  11. Follow the steps listed below:
  12.  
  13. 1       Insert the TE-16PnP Ethernet Card's driver diskette into the floppy drive.
  14.  
  15. 2       Create a subdirectory in your client's main boot drive with the
  16.         following  files:
  17.  
  18.         LSL.COM       Link Support Layer
  19.         PNPODI.COM    TE-16PnP Ethernet Card's NetWare DOS ODI Client driver
  20.         IPXODI.COM    An IPX protocol stack file (e.g., IPXODI.COM)
  21.         NETX.EXE      NetWare Shell (used with conventional memory workstations)
  22.         NET.CFG       Optional (used for configuring options different from the
  23.                       default settings). See  Novell NetWare Operating System
  24.                       Keywords section.
  25.  
  26.         The (NETX.EXE), (LSL.COM), and (IPXODI.COM) files can be obtained
  27.         from the Workstation Driver Diskette in the Novell Client Software
  28.         Package  or from CompuServe. Copy the PNP client driver file
  29.         PNPODI.COM  from the DOSODI directory of the TE-16PnP Ethernet Card's driver
  30.         diskette to the appropriate subdirectory. To do this, copy the file
  31.         using the path:
  32.  
  33.                 A:\DOSODI\NW4X   or   A:\DOSODI\NW3X
  34.  
  35. 3       To manually load these files from the DOS prompt, type the following
  36.         commands in  the given order to initialize DOS ODI driver support and
  37.         the IPX protocol stack:
  38.  
  39.                 LSL.COM                 Followed by <Enter>
  40.                 PNPODI.COM              Followed by <Enter>
  41.                 IPXODI.COM              Followed by <Enter>
  42.                 NETX.EXE                Followed by <Enter>
  43.  
  44.         Note:
  45.         ----- 
  46.         NETX.EXE is compatible with DOS versions 3.x, 4.x, 5.x, and 6.x.
  47.         If you are use DOS 6.2 or higher,please install Netware DOS
  48.         requester (VLM).
  49.  
  50. 4       To automatically load these files, use a DOS text editor to create
  51.         and/or modify an (AUTOEXEC.BAT) file. Load the files in the following
  52.         order:
  53.  
  54.         1) link support layer, 2) LAN driver, 3) protocol stacks, and 4) the
  55.         shell. Your (AUTOEXEC.BAT) file should look similar to the following:

  57.                 \<subdirectory>\LSL
  58.                 \<subdirectory>\PNPODI
  59.                 \<subdirectory>\IPXODI
  60.                 \<subdirectory>\NETX
  61.  
  62. 5       If the commands have been added to the autoexec.bat file, reboot the
  63.         workstation. After the commands execute, and if a server is present,
  64.         the  workstation will attach to the server and display the server's
  65.         name. Log into the network.
  66.  
  67.         The installation of the NetWare DOS ODI client driver is now complete.
