  17.    Winamp is the ultimate in media playback for 32-bit Windows platforms.
  18. This release includes plug-ins for MPG,MP2,MP3,WAV, and VOC. 
  19. Future plug-ins for AAC, VQF, AVI, MIDI, CDDA, MPEG Video, and more are 
  20. on the way.
  21.    Winamp is a standard-setting product. It has support for Winamp Plug-Ins,

  30.   * Check the included WHATSNEW.TXT for the complete listing of what's new in
  31.     this release.
  32.   * The XM/IT/MOD engine sounds good now! It isn't fully stable yet, and the
  33.     info box doesn't work yet, but it's a good step.
  34.   * The WAV/VOC Plug-in seems to work perfectly now (no more end-of-stream 
  35.     bugs I can see
  36.   * The CDDA plug-in is now better. No CDDB support yet, but it does work for
  37.     systems with multiple CD-ROM drives. Note that in order for visualization
  38.     to work for CD audio, you MUST configure your soundcard's recording input
  39.     to record from the CD.
  40.   * The MP1/MP2/MP3 decoding engine (NITRANE) is brand new.
