Unless there is a major patch or update, this is the first and last
time I will use MovieSetter. It crashes on average of about once every five
minutes, and is unusable for large or even medium scale projects. The few
workarounds I can share are these:
- When your having problems editing an old movie, make sure the real
beginning frame number and ending frame number of all tracks matches
the frame numbers indicated by "Goto Beginning/End" gadgets in the
"Track Edit" window for a selected track. If they are different,
cut and paste the track right back where it was and they'll now be
the same.
- Never "Add Start" of a big movie; just start a new one and
insert the big on the tail ( though this sometimes fails too...)
- Know when and where you want things to be ahead of time, as
using the "Storyboard" can be fatal to a big movie.
- SAVE OFF CONSTANTLY!
