  1. Short: Tape backup/restore utility.

  3. BaRe - a tape backup utility v0.040
  4.  
  5. BaRe was written for fast and simple SCSI tape backups.  No documentation
  6. available at this time.  Use BaRe ! for help.
  7.  
  8. To create a backup of dh0: and dh1: use

  10. BaRe create -stat dh0: dh1:

  12. To restore all files that do not exists:

  14. BaRe restore -missing
  15.

  17. A better document file will be written later.  BaRe has been tested for
  18. several months on an A3025/50 with 10 MB RAM and 540 MB disk (under Kick
  19. 2.04).  No known bugs exist.  BaRe is also known to work on at least one
  20. DAT drive.

  22. New in version 0.040: Read protected files no longer cause BaRe to fail.
  23. Instead, a warning message is printed and the file is skipped.
