  1. short: Patch for Quarterback 5.0.1 -> 5.0.2

  3. This patch archive may be freely distributed as long
  4. as all of the files of this archive are moved
  5. together and not separated.
  6.  
  7. Files included:
  8.    Quarterback_5.0.1  (initial patch script)
  9.    QB_Patch_Readme
  10.    Patch_Script       (actual patch script)
  11.    QB501-502.pch
  12.    lpatch             (Copyright by Lattice)

  14. To patch Quarterback 5.0.1, simply move the files of
  15. this archive into the same directory where Quarterback
  16. is installed.  Then, execute the "Quarterback_5.0.1"
  17. script either from the CLI/Shell, or by clicking on its
  18. icon.  The icon says "EXECUTE TO PATCH."  After the
  19. patching is done, you may remove the five files in this
  20. archive.

  22. This script will determine if you have the correct
  23. version of Quarterback and only patch your file if it
  24. is version 5.0.1.  If you have the 5.0 version of
  25. Quarterback, then you need to use the 5.0 to 5.0.1
  26. patch.

  28. These files will patch Quarterback 5.0.1 to version
  29. 5.0.2.  The 5.0.2 version fixes reported bugs as well
  30. as enhances the restoration of compressed backups on
  31. floppies and removable media drives.  Because of this,
  32. we recommend that you redo your backups on floppies
  33. and removable media drives.

  35. As a note:
  36.   The file QB501-502.pch is the Quarterback 5.0.1 to
  37.       5.0.2 patch file.
  38.   lpatch is the file that does the patching and is
  39.       freely distributable.
  40.  
  41.   If you would like to patch the files yourself, and
  42.   bypass the script, you may get a synopsis of how the
  43.   lpatch command works by typing 'lpatch' on a CLI/Shell
  44.   prompt line by itself.  It contains the necessary
  45.   information on how it works.
