  10. Yes, it's version 1.31! And here are the new features:
  11. - It can play the sounds it is extracting.
  12. - It can beep when the extraction is finished.
  13. - You can choose custom playback rates. This can be very useful if you need
  14. to extract sounds from a Unix or Amiga file. Version 1.4, anyway, will
  15. probably recognize those sounds as well as AIFF and SoundEdit Pro files.

  20. For those who don't know, SoundExtractor is a System 7 dependent utility that
  21. lets you "extract" sounds from any kind of file. You just drag it on top of
  22. SoundExtractor's icon, and it'll create a sound folder (with its own icon)
  23. containing all the sounds it could find, in System 7 format. This means that
  24. all you need to play them is to double-click on them.
  25. SoundExtractor will also extract data sounds, stereo data or resource sounds,
  26. or non-standard resource sounds.
  27. SoundExtractor supports Balloon Help, Apple Events, and requires System 7.
