  1.                  GraphicsENGINE  Windows 3.1 driver
  2.  
  3. Installation:
  4. 1) Insert the GraphicsENGINE  Driver diskette into drive A.
  5.  
  6. 2) Run the installation file INSTALL.EXE on drive A.
  7.        Example:  C:\>a:\install
  8.  
  9.    Then select INSTALL's Microsoft Windows 3.1 menu,
  10.    press ENTER key and complete the installation.
  11.    INSTALL will copy the appropriate files to your default directory.
  12.  
  13. 3) Run Setup program when prompted, selecting  option to change the
  14.    DISPLAY device and following the  instructions to complete the
  15.    driver installation.
  16.  
  17. Hardware Requirements:
  18.  * IBM-PC compatible or better CPU.
  19.  * GraphicsENGINE  board.
  20.  
  21. Resolution:
  22.  Currently the following modes are supported:
  23.  *  640 x  480, 256     colors
  24.  *  640 x  480, 32K     colors
  25.  *  640 x  480, 64K     colors
  26.  *  640 x  480, 16.7M   colors
  27.  *  800 x  600, 256     colors
  28.  *  800 x  600, 32K     colors
  29.  *  800 x  600, 64K     colors
  30.  *  800 x  600, 16.7M   colors
  31.  * 1024 x  768, 256     colors
  32.  * 1024 x  768, 32K     colors
  33.  * 1024 x  768, 64K     colors
  34.  * 1280 x 1024, 256     colors
  35.  * 1600 x 1200, 256     colors

  37. NOTE:
  38. If you have already installed a previous version of the driver, copy
  39. the file ERASEOLD.BAT into the \windows directory and execute it.
  40. Follow this by typing SETUP and reinstall the driver.
  41.  
  42. Not all modes are supported by all monitors. Attempting to use modes
  43. which yourmonitor does not support will produce unsatisfactory results.
  44.  
  45. The GraphicsENGINE 64 PCI board is capable of generating more 
  46. frequencies and supporting more modes than most VGA cards.
  47. To switch to a different mode, you can use MONSET.EXE (Software
  48. Switch utility program in floppy disk).
