  15.  * 4 Mbytes of memory (8+ is better)

  17.  * MicroStation PC, Version 4.0.3.1 or later

  20. INSTALLATION:

  23. 1. Run the installation program on the Vortek-VL drivers disk.
  24.  
  25. 2. Go to the "\USTATION" directory.
  26.  
  27. 3. Run the "USCONFIG" program to select the new device driver.
  28.     3a. Select "Display Adapters" entry.
  29.     3b. Select "VENDOR SUPPLIED DRIVER" option.
  30.     3c. Select "Vortek DRIVER" option.
  31.     3d. Select second adapter options as needed.
  32.     3e. Select "Exit and Save".
  33.     3f. Reboot system for installation to take affect.

  36. CONFIGURATION:

  39. The first time this driver is used, it will ask the user which video
  40. mode to use for MicroStation.  It will present the user with a menu of
  41. all available resolution modes.  One must be selected, and then a
  42. configuration filed will be created that the driver will use for
  43. subsequent MicroStation sessions.

  45. To permanently reconfigure the driver, erase the file
  46. "\USTATION\DRIVERS\MGLAGX.CFG" and run MicroStation again.

  48. To temporarily change the resolution mode used, you may set the
  49. environment variable "MGLAGX" to one of the following numbers:
  50.     0    640x480x256
  51.     1    1024x768x16
  52.     2    1024x768x256
  53.  
  54. If the driver finds a legal value in the environment, it will use it
  55. to override any variable found in the configuration file.

  62. This can be configured as either the "Primary" (right screen) or
  63. "Secondary" (left side) graphics device.
  64.  
  65. If the initialization code is unable to determine which mode to use, it
  66. will always default to the 640 x 480 x 256 color mode.

  68. The driver will exit if it is not able to find an Vortek-VL graphics
  69. card.

  71. The graphics screen contents are saved when shelling out to DOS.
