  15.   This directory contains emulation drivers for 8514/A AI.
  16.   This driver can be used with software applications that
  17.   run on an 8514/A graphics adapter.

  20.   Overview
  21.   --------
  22.   The instructions that follow explain how to install the 
  23.   appropriate 8514/A emulation driver for your needs. In this 
  24.   directory are the following files:

  26.     RIXAI4.EXE
  27.     RIXAI8.EXE
  28.     STAN0715.FNT
  29.     STAN0814.FNT
  30.     STAN1220.FNT
  31.     README.TXT (this file)

  33.   Two emulators are provided. Choose either emulator depending 
  34.   on your video memory configuration and number of colors 
  35.   desired. The following table illustrates the resolutions 
  36.   available for each display driver:

  46.   NOTE: Hercules Dynamite has 1MB memory installed and can run 
  47.   all display resolutions listed above.

  52.   Installation
  53.   ------------
  54.    1) Create a subdirectory on the hard disk called RIXAI or 
  55.       another name of your choosing.
  56.  
  57.    2) Copy the contents of the \RIXAI directory of the Hercules
  58.       Dynamite Supplemental Drivers Diskette to that newly-
  59.       created subdirectory.
  60.  
  61.       Decide which version of the emulator is needed based on the 
  62.       number of colors you wish and proceed.
  63.  
  64.    4) Type "RIXAIx" [Enter] at the DOS prompt, where "x" is 
  65.       either 4 or 8.
  66.  
  67.    5) You can now run your application software under 8514/A 
  68.       emulation.

  70.   Remember to load the appropriate emulation driver before running
  71.   application software that requires 8514/A. You might want to 
  72.   create a simple batch file that loads the emulation driver and 
  73.   your software automatically to simplify the process.

  80.   You may need to reconfigure some software to run under an 
  81.   8514/A driver. Check the user manuals of your applications 
  82.   to determine if such a driver is supported.
