OS/2 2.0
Advanced drivers are contained in this subdirectory.
Use the following procedures to install the drivers:
1. Boot your computer from DOS. Please note that you have
to boot from DOS, or the following procedure will fail.
2. Change directory to OS/2 under \WIZSETUP\GENOA79\. From this
directory, copy the appropriate files to the DLL sub
directory under your OS/2 directory.
Resolution Color/HZ DISPLAY.DLL DISPLAY.CGF
640 X 480 256/60 G64_2.DLL G64_2_60.CFG
640 X 480 256/72 G64_2.DLL G64_2_72.CFG
800 X 600 16/56 G86_1.DLL G86_1_56.CFG
800 X 600 16/60 G86_1.DLL G86_1_60.CFG
800 X 600 16/72 G86_1.DLL G86_1_72.CFG
800 X 600 256/56 G86_2.DLL G86_2_56.CFG
800 X 600 256/60 G86_2.DLL G86_2_60.CFG
800 X 600 256/72 G86_2.DLL G86_2_72.CFG
1024 X 768 16/43 G1K_1.DLL G1K_1_43.CFG
1024 X 768 16/60 G1K_1.DLL G1K_1_60.CFG
1024 X 768 16/70 G1K_1.DLL G1K_1_70.CFG
1024 X 768 256/43 G1K_2.DLL G1K_2_43.CFG
1024 X 768 256/60 G1K_2.DLL G1K_2_60.CFG
1024 X 768 267/70 G1K_2.DLL G1K_2_70.CFG
For example, to select 1024 x 768 16 colors at 43Hz vertical
refresh rate, you need to copy into your OS/2's DLL sub
directory the following driver files with the syntax listed
below:
COPY G1K_1.DLL C:/0S2/DLL/DISPLAY.DLL
COPY G1K_1_43.CFG C:0S2/DLL DISPLAY.CFG
COPY ET4000PM.DLL C:0S2/DLL/ET4000PM.DLL
Please note that no matter which resolution you want to
install, the third line listed above is the same. For
instance, to install driver for 800 x 600 256 colors at 72
Hz vertical refresh rate, you will use the following:
COPY G86_2.DLL C:0S2/DLL/DISPLAY.DLL
COPY G86_2_72.CFG C:OS2/DLL/DISPLAY.CFG
COPY ET4000PM.DLL C:OS2/DLL/ET4000PM.DLL

GENOA 7000 SERIES
Copy "VSVGA.SYS" to your OS/2 MDOS sub-directory.
For example,
C:\WIZSETUP\GENOA79\OS2>COPY VSVGA.SYS C:\OS2\MDOS
If full screen DOS doesn't come up successfully, put the following commands
in the CONFIG.SYS, then reboot the system.
SET VIO_VGA=DEVICE(BVHVGA,BVHSVGA)
DEVICE=C:\OS2\MDOS\VSVGA.SYS
