KNOWN PROBLEMS WITH THIS RELEASE:
--------------------------------
1) Installing expanded memory boards may cause problems. This is
because expanded memory drivers use memory that is decoded by
the PG Series 1 board. To solve the problem, the expanded memory
driver must be told not to use memory below C800.
For example, if you are using the EMM driver that comes with
Windows, on an IBM AT compatible, you can use the following line
in your CONFIG.SYS file.
DEVICE=EMM.SYS AT C800 258
2) Set-up the PG board and driver for CGA emulation. Bring up Windows
and open a DOS shell. Return from the DOS shell by pressing ALT-TAB
or ALT_ESC. Now, return back to DOS from Windows by clicking on the
DOS icon with the mouse or by using the ALT-TAB keyboard feature.
The DOS CGA screen comes up in 40 column mode instead of 80 column
mode. Issuing a DOS command such as 'CLS' will set the mode to 80
columns
3) Very large characters might not be displayed or might be corrupted
(e.g. Memorandum Bold Extra Large in WordPerfect for Windows).
4) CorelDRAW! might leave unwanted lines on the display while the
extrusion tool is being used. The screen is repainted correctly
when one lets go of the mouse button.
5) The 8514*.FON files might be corrupted by using CorelDRAW! in text
mode, typing something in, and then exiting CorelDRAW! and Windows.
When Windows is restarted, the fonts on the highlight bars will not
be correct. Re-copying the 8514*.FON files in the \WINDOWS\SYSTEM
subdirectory will solve the problem.
6) Clicking on the leftmost Eraser icon in PaintBrush and then on any
other icon will erase them. This has been reported on the PG-1281,
PG-1281C, and PG-1281CV/OL, but not on the PG-1281CV.
CORRECTED BUG SINCE PREVIOUS RELEASE
------------------------------------
1) Saving a monochrome bitmap into a 24-bit-per-pixel bitmap file
yielded incorrect results. This has been fixed.
