  2.      Using these PowerGraph Windows 3.1 drivers with Windows 3.0:

  4.      Since Windows 3.0 does not implement the OEMSETUP.INF style of
  5.      driver disk as well as Windows 3.1 you will have some problems
  6.      using these drivers with Windows 3.0 unless you take the
  7.      following information into consideration:

  9.      1. Windows 3.0 will not keep the information in the OEMSETUP.INF
  10.         like Windows 3.1 does.  This means that each time you want to
  11.         change resolutions you will have to use this setup disk.  To
  12.         speed things up if you intend to switch resolutions quite
  13.         often, you can copy the contents of this disk to a directory
  14.         on your hard disk and then in Windows 3.0 SETUP you can point
  15.         to this directory after you select the "OTHER Disk" option.

  17.      2. It is possible to edit the Windows 3.0 SETUP.INF file and add
  18.         in the information contained in the OEMSETUP.INF file that is
  19.         on our drivers disk.  You would have to add in the lines from
  20.         the appropriate sections in the OEMSETUP.INF to the correct
  21.         sections in the SETUP.INF.  This is for advanced Windows users
  22.         only -- if you've never tried this before then be sure you
  23.         back everything up before attempting it.  If you do this then
  24.         it will eliminate the need to keep a seperate subdirectory
  25.         with our drivers in it as described in note #1 above.

  27.      3. These drivers are aimed more at Windows 3.1 rather than 3.0.
  28.         We have attempted to test them thoroughly with both versions of
  29.         the software, but there may be conflicts with 3.0 that we did
  30.         not discover.  If it is a problem that occurs in 3.0 and not in
  31.         3.1 then little will be done to change the drivers.  We highly
  32.         recommend that if you're using these drivers that you upgrade
  33.         from Windows 3.0 to 3.1 -- there are definite speed advantages
  34.         in the new Windows and overall it is a better environment.
