  27.  The installer will modify your CONFIG.SYS & AUTOEXEC.BAT files by adding
  28.  the following statements:

  32.         Device=C:\GW32\CDD.SYS /D:MSCD0001 /P:360

  34.  AUTOEXEC.BAT:

  38.   See the manual for instructions on how to hook up your CDS-3110 CD-ROM 
  39.   drive.  Backup copies of your AUTOEXEC.BAT & CONFIG.SYS will be 
  40.   automatically made for you.  The files are called:  AUTOEXEC.G32 & 
  41.   CONFIG.G32.
  42.  
  43.   You must copy MSCDEX.EXE from your DOS 6.0 directory or from the CD-ROM
  44.   installation diskette provided with your drive into the GW32 
  45.   subdirectory.

  47.   If you have questions that are not covered in the manual or on this

  51.   Note: Network users with READ ONLY files should manually modify their
  52.         CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT files or reset their attribute to 
  53.         READ/WRITE and rerun this installation.  The GW32.EXE will also 
  54.         modify your CONFIG.SYS file with the following device statement:

  58.         Where i=interrupt and a=I/O address.  This Device statement needs
  59.         to be before the CDD.SYS statement, so that it executes first.

  66.  Because of the features provided on this card, multiple I/O addresses
  67.  and IRQs are used.  Orchid recommends that you verify the addresses and
  68.  IRQs you are currently using before you continue.  For Example:
  69.  
  70.     1.  A BUS Mouse commonly uses I/O address 240Hex
  71.     2.  Networking Cards commonly use IRQ 10 or 11 and I/O address 300H,
  72.         320H, 340H or 360H.
  73.     3.  SCSI Cards (Hard Disk, CD-ROM, etc.) commonly use I/O address 330H,
  74.         or 340H, Note: Most offer 6-8 addresses to choose from.  They also 
  75.         use IRQ 10, 11, 14 or 15.
  76.     4.  If you encounter an IRQ conflict, you will often hear a continuous 
  77.         scream from the speakers.
  78.     5.  I/O address and DMA conflicts sometimes lock up the system.
  79.  
  80.  If you are using any of the types of hardware mentioned, please check the 
  81.  card(s) and write down the address.  Programs like QAPLUS (a diagnostic 
  82.  application) or Microsoft "MSD.EXE" (which comes with Windows 3.1) can be 
  83.  used to check your system options.
  84.  
  85.  If a conflict occurs with one or more of the addresses, DMA, or IRQ
  86.  check the options on the other cards in your system and re-run the
  87.  GW32 /C program to reconfigure the sound card.
  88.  
  89.  Driver files will be copied into your Windows\System subdirectory.  Your
  90.  SYSTEM.INI and SETUP.INF files will be updated with driver statements for
  91.  your convenience.

  93.  On network servers, the files are copied into your Windows directory.  
  94.  Your SETUP.INF and MIDIMAP.CFG must be changed to Read/Write (if set  
  95.  to Read Only) before continuing this installation.  The SYSTEM.INI and 
  96.  CONRTOL.INI are modified on the Window's working directory (i.e. 
  97.  location of WIN.COM).

  108.  Thank you for purchasing the Orchid GameWave 32 Multimedia Sound Card.
  109.  
  110.  This installation program copies over drivers for Microsoft Windows and
  111.  a hardware configuration files for the GameWave 32.  These file are 
  112.  located in the GW32 subdirectory (unless you choose an alternate 
  113.  directory name).
  114.  
  115.  The program GW32.EXE will be run for you by this installer, but if you 
  116.  need to re-run the configuration program, change directories to the
  117.  \GW32 and type: GW32 /C and press <ENTER>.  Other options are:
  118.  
  119.  GW32      -- (No Option) to configure the hardware.
  120.  GW32 /?   -- to display this command line help menu.
  121.  GW32 /S   -- to check the status of your current configuration.
  122.  GW32 /C   -- to re-configure the hardware setup values I/O, DMA, IRQ, etc.
  123.  GW32 /F:FileName  -- to force the loading of a specific DSP code.
  124.                       Where FileName is either GENMID.LD or MT32.LD.
