Pueblo. The tribes of the American southwest became farmers and built some large settlements, including Pueblo in New Mexico. The word 'pueblo' is now used to describe this style of house. The houses were built of stone and mud and had many rooms. They had thick walls, making them warm during the winter and cool in the summer.
