  4. Basic Baby Mittens

  6. Oh, wait - an idea comes to mind for the mittens - but it's for more
  7. for babies than for toddlers on up.  My mom made a pair of mittens for
  8. one of the boys that used the same principle as the slipper pattern:
  9. You start by making the beginning round & add stitches until you have
  10. the circumference you want.  Then just crochet a tube about 4" long &
  11. finish it off (like the slipper foot pattern until you get to the
  12. opening part.)  These are "thumbless" mittens (babies don't need
  13. thumbholes, anyway!)  Crochet a line of sc sts to attach the two
  14. mittens & then thread them through the armholes of the baby's jacket
  15. or snowsuit.
