1 Room deordorizer
1 Pck batting 1/4 yd
1 Fabric-1/2 yd
1/4 Inch ribbon
3/4 Yd 1/2" wibbon
1 Wooden hanger
1 Masking tape
1 Thread, scrap sheeting
easy level. materials given are for one hanger.
1. wrap a layer or two of batting around the wooden part of the
hanger and tape to fasten. stitch the ends closed.
2. make a 1" x 17" wide muslin pocket for the 'room deordizer powder.
attach the muslin pouch to the underside of the hanger. wrap another
layer of batting over it and secure
3. stitch the raw ends of batting tog,making sure the batting is
secure on the hanger and will not shift when inserted into the fabric
covering
4. cut 2 pieces of 11" x 5" fabric and two 22" x 5" pieces. stitch one
basting line along each 22" side. gather the sides to measure 11".
with the right sides tog, stitch one gathered piece of material to one
ungatherred piece of material, leaving one 5" side unstitched. clip
the corners. rep for the 2 rem peices of fabric. turn both pieces right
side out.
5. slip one fabric tube on each side of the hanger. turn the raw edges
under so that the edges of the tubes just meet. tack the fabric tog at
the top and bottom of the hanger.
6. using the 1/2" wide ribbon, tape one end to the tip of the wire
hook and wrap, covering the metal completley. slipstitch the end of the
ribbon to the fabric on the hanger. fold te 1/2" wide ribbon in half and
place the fold around the base of the wire hook. wrap the ribbon around
the hanger in 2 parallel bands, returning to the starting point. wrap the
2 ends around the wire hook, crisscrossing them behind the hook and
returning them to the front of the hook.
7. tie a bow and stitch to fasten.
