  26. We are happy to invite you to Outline!
  27. Outline is an Atari demoscene party that
  28. will take place at Easter 2005 in the
  29. east of Holland.
  30.  
  31. The party will be a great opportunity
  32. to show your creative skills, have a
  33. beer with your friends and ofcourse we
  34. will provide enough space so you can
  35. use or show your hardware and software.
  36.  
  37. Although Outline is mainly an Atari
  38. oriented event, we are also welcoming
  39. like minded sceners using other
  40. platforms for creative purposes.

  44. PARTY LOCATION AND FACILITIES
  45. -----------------------------
  46. The location for Outline 2005 is:
  47.

  54. Braamt is a very small village in the
  55. east of Holland, near the German border.
  56. The area around the partyplace is mainly
  57. in agricultural use or forest.
  58.  
  59. Te Boomsgoed is a traditional farmhouse
  60. converted to a group accomodation. We
  61. are renting one of the two main halls,
  62. and the sleeping area above it. There
  63. are toilets and showers in the main
  64. building. There's another building some
  65. 10 meters away which will soon be
  66. demolished and rebuilt, but since there
  67. are still some legal issues to be dealt
  68. with before this can take place we might
  69. have this building available for the
  70. party too (keep your fingers crossed!).
  71.  
  72. In between the two buildings is a huge
  73. terrace, to the sides are a football
  74. field, a campsite, caravans and huts
  75. which you could rent if you're bringing
  76. the family, a minigolf court, a horse
  77. barn and school, and plenty parking
  78. spaces.
  79.  
  80. There are busstops at a few minutes
  81. walking distance from the partyplace,
  82. but the nearest trainstation is 7.5km
  83. away and it's a bit tricky to get from
  84. there to Braamt. We therefore advise you
  85. to take the train to "Doetinchem De
  86. Huet" and give us a call so we can send
  87. a car to pick you up. Ofcourse we'll
  88. also return you to the station after the
  89. party.
  90.  
  91. There's a supermarket about 150 meters
  92. from the party location. Also nearby is
  93. the "Braamse Gat", a lake with bungalow
  94. park, and a pub. Quality restaurants,
  95. including Havoc's favourite Chinese
  96. place, are in nearby Zeddam (3km), as
  97. well as the oldest windmill in the
  98. country. A little further away is the
  99. city of Doetinchem (6km), where you can
  100. find many shops, restaurants and pubs.

  102. Ofcourse we will provide the usual food
  103. delivery options such as pizza, kebab,
  104. fries, etc, and you can also buy cool
  105. drinks for very reasonable prices at the
  106. party place.
  107.  
  108. The main hall has suitable audio
  109. equipment, and a permament beamer setup
  110. with dedicated screen. There's a table
  111. and chair for every visitor, and some
  112. relaxing benches as well (how many will
  113. vary a lot depending on the number of
  114. visitors). We will provide a basic
  115. selection of cooled drinks, and those
  116. who visited PMP will be happy to hear
  117. there's a kitchen table and
  118. possibilities for a campfire.
  119. Unfortunately we are lacking funds to
  120. dig a pond for the PMP duckies, but you
  121. can once again put up a tent or caravan
  122. outside the party place if you prefer
  123. that over the regular indoor sleeping
  124. area.

  131. A ticket for the entire party (4 days
  132. and 3 nights) costs:

  136. A single day ticket (valid for 24 hours
  137. excluding the sleeping area) costs:

  142. PLEASE NOTICE:
  143.  
  144. It is possible to rent private sleeping
  145. facilities for groups of 2 upto 10
  146. individuals for a reasonable price.
  147. Contact Havoc for a price quote. If you
  148. do not make such reservations, the
  149. organisers will assign you to a sleeping
  150. place based on the date you payed your
  151. ticket (those who pay first will be
  152. assigned to the more luxurious
  153. facilities ofcourse).

  155. There are no discounts possible on the
  156. entry fees except those mentioned above.
  157. Presales tickets must be payed in
  158. advance.
  159.  
  160. We realize that these prices may be
  161. slightly higher than sceners got used to
  162. in recent years. This is mainly because
  163. the party is held at a commercial
  164. location, unlike previous parties which
  165. were usually in schools, universities or
  166. clubhouses. We are convinced that the
  167. facilities offered by such a location
  168. will compensate for the higher fee.
  169.  
  170. We would also like to stress that even
  171. though the party location is commercial,
  172. the organising team is working on a
  173. strictly non-profit base. Any profit the
  174. party will generate will flow directly
  175. into the competition prize fund, and any
  176. money left after the competitions will
  177. be donated to a worthy cause. For
  178. example, after Outline 2005 we donated
  179. the leftover pennies to Outline 2006.

  265. TRAVELLING
  266. ----------
  267. By plane: The preferred airport for
  268. travelling to this party is Amsterdam/
  269. Schiphol. Flights from nearly every
  270. major airport on the planet arrive there
  271. on a daily basis, and travelling from
  272. the airport to the partyplace is easy
  273. because of the excellent railway
  274. connections. A trainticket from Schiphol
  275. to the partyplace is ~18 Euro each way,
  276. or 11 Euro for Dutch students and people
  277. travelling along with them.
  278.  
  279. Travellers from the UK and Sweden will
  280. be interested to know that Ryanair has
  281. some pretty cheap offers for travelling
  282. to Airport Niederrhein, which is only 45
  283. km from the partyplace. If you contact
  284. the organisers well in advance, pickups
  285. can be arranged.

  287. Other airports within driving distance
  288. from the party place include Rotterdam
  289. and Eindhoven. If you can get a flight
  290. to one of these airports for a lower
  291. price than you would pay for travelling
  292. to Schiphol, the organisers can provide
  293. you with information on how to get from
  294. any of these airports to the partyplace.

  314. regular online booking systems, so there
  315. is a very good chance you will be able

  324. By bus: Walk from busstop "Buiting
  325. Braamt" towards the roundabout and
  326. proceed to walk into the village. First
  327. you'll pass one road to the right, then
  328. the road bends sharply to the right,
  329. then another exit to the right, and
  330. finally the partyplace will appear on
  331. right hand side (look for the minigolf).

  344. >From the west and north(east): Get on
  345. the highway to Doetinchem (A18), and
  346. take exit 3 (Doetinchem, Zelhem,
  347. Zeddam). Follow signs for Braamt/Zeddam
  348. (N316). Turn to the right on the 2nd
  349. roundabout. Stay on this street, it
  350. bends to the right after 100m, until you
  351. see the Te Boomsgoed sign on your right
  352. hand side. Welcome to the partyplace!

  354. >From the south and east: Travel to the
  355. city of Emmerich, Germany. Most likely
  356. you will be taking exit 3 (Emmerich am
  357. Rhein, Kleve, 's-Heerenberg) on the
  358. highway running from the Ruhrgebiet to
  359. Arnhem and Amsterdam (A3). Upon exiting
  360. the highway, follow signs for
  361. 's-Heerenberg (N316). Stay on the N316
  362. as it takes you through the villages of
  363. 's-Heerenberg and Zeddam, and turn left
  364. on the roundabout near Braamt. Stay on
  365. this street, it bends to the right after
  366. 100m, until you see a Te Boomsgoed sign
  367. on your right hand side. Welcome to the
  368. partyplace!

  372. PARTY RULES
  373. -----------
  374. First of all, we would like to say we
  375. have a lot of confidence in the visitors
  376. we are inviting to this party. Some of
  377. the organisers have been going to Atari
  378. related Easter parties for more than a
  379. decade, and in all those years the
  380. number of unacceptable incidents has
  381. been negligible.
  382.  
  383. However, we feel that setting a few
  384. clear guidelines will help everyone to
  385. make the party even more enjoyable.
  386.  
  387. - The organisers are very tolerant, but
  388.   there are limits. Please treat other
  389.   people and their property with
  390.   respect. Illegal and/or destructive
  391.   behaviour will not be accepted and can
  392.   lead to removal from the party.
  393.  
  394. - No smoking in the main hall or
  395.   sleeping area. Please step outside or
  396.   use the reserved spaces as appointed
  397.   by the organisation. Weather allowing,
  398.   chairs and benches are allowed to be
  399.   taken outside to the terrace.
  400.  
  401. - Do not use electric waterboilers,
  402.   microwaves, barbecues and other
  403.   devices that could possibly endanger
  404.   the stability of computer systems
  405.   within the partyplace. Please contact
  406.   the organisers before setting up such
  407.   equipment.

  409. - We are only renting half of the space
  410.   available at "Te Boomsgoed". Please do
  411.   not install systems or sleep in areas
  412.   other than the main hall or the
  413.   sleeping area.
