  1.                 CONTRIBUTE TO ATARI UPDATE!
  2.                  We need you to stay alive
  3.  
  4. You don't want to  hear  of  our  early  demise,  do you? Of
  5. course not! So  get  writing  for  us.  Every single article
  6. counts, it doesn't have to be anything  to do with the ST or
  7. even a computer, as long as  people  will read it, it's good
  8. enough for submission into our diskmag.
  9.  
  10. We need at least five  people  to  write  articles for us by
  11. issue two. If we don't get  this  amount, then we shall have
  12. to think carefully about how  often we release Atari Update.
  13. The more articles -YOU- write,  the  bigger and better Atari
  14. Update will become.
  15.  
  16. Hopefully, next issue will see -TWO- diskmags on disk! There
  17. will be Atari Update, in  the  same  format as this issue's,
  18. and Value For Money which will  contain all of your articles
  19. which couldn't be put  onto  Atari  Update  and  a lot more.
  20. There will also be the usual amount of PD on disk, too.
  21.  
  22. Note to PD companies and  programmers: We desperately need a
  23. new shell! If you think you  could  write one for us, please
  24. contact us.  We  can't  pay  you,  but  we'd  be  very, very
  25. grateful - and we'd give  you  free  advertising and a -BIG-
  26. mention in every issue, plus free issues!
  27.  
  28. So, come on all you  people;  get  contributing. Even if you
  29. think you can't write an  article,  you  can! I didn't think
  30. I'd be capable of writing an  article two years ago, but now
  31. I'm editing a diskmag! Just have one little go....
  32.  
  33. Finally, give  copies  of  Atari  Update  to  PDLs, friends,
  34. contacts and -EVERYBODY-  you  know  with  an  ST.  The more
  35. readers we get, the  better.  Also,  if  you're  a reader of
  36. Atari Update, which  you  obviously  are,  and  are going to
  37. continue to read it, write to us  and tell us - it will help
  38. us to get an idea of how many readers we have. Also, try and
  39. tell us what's good about  our  diskmag and what's not. We'd
