  1.                          ¯MY BIT-NEW SECTION!~

  3. Unknown to all the other editors of DD,  I (¯68K~) have decided to write 
  4. about  myself and my exploits..  For your delight  and  delectation..  I 
  5. dunno if this is going to become a popular feature or not! Who cares?
  6.      Anyway.. Off we go...
  7.  
  8.      After a summer holiday consisting of bumming around the house  with 
  9. nothing  to  do (owing to the lack of money),  I have managed to  get  a 
  10. small job in a computer shop nearby.  I am looking forward to working in 
  11. this place for 2 main reasons...
  12.  
  13.                ¯1/.~  I  will be getting some money at long  last..  Maybe 
  14. I'll be able to enjoy myself now!
  15.                ¯2/.~  The  shop  in  question has just  bought  an  Atari 
  16. Falcon! My brother downloaded software from some computer file archives 
  17. a while back, therefore I have plenty of stuff to try out on it!
  18.  
  19.      So  until that happens,  and I have something to write  about  that 
  20. lovely  computer,  here are some stories about things that I  have  been 
  21. doing with myself over the last coupla weeks...
  22.      
  23.      a) Passed an upgrading examination in my martial art-Tang Soo  Do.. 
  24. I am now over half-way to Black belt.. For this exam, one of the things 
  25. I had to do was to jump over 3 people and kick through a building block! 
  26. It was easy as well! 
  27.           Last night in Karate, my brother kicked me so hard that I flew 
  28. a  few  feet  and rolled across the floor  for  a  few  metres...  Today 
  29. (20.8.93) I am nursing a painful shoulder. All together now, Ahhhh!! 
  30.           I am attending a British championship at the end of this month 
  31. and I hope to bring a couple of trophies home.. Wish me luck!

  33.      b) Restoring my poor Mini. Decided yesterday to look at the brakes, 
  34. as  they  didn't  seem to be stopping the car that  well.  Good  job  we 
  35. looked!  Only  one wheel had any kind of braking force on it!  The  back 
  36. wheels  didn't slow down at all,  and it was possible to turn them  when 
  37. the handbrake and the footbrake were on!  One of the front wheels had  a 
  38. brake pipe gone,  and the shoes inside the drum were completely  covered 
  39. in fluid..! Very messy...... Hoping to flog it for a better car now that 
  40. everyone  in  the household can drive,  so me and my brother  have  been 
  41. sanding,filling and re-spraying for the last few days,  and it looks all 
  42. the better for it....

  44.      c) Writing a sampler.  I have been working on this for the last few 
  45. weeks,  and  I  hope to make it commercially available if  it  gets  any 
  46. good.  The main thing about this program which sets it apart from  other 
  47. samplers is the maximum sample rate that it can  achieve:  115Khz!  This 
  48. program uses the normal Mastersound (mono) cartridge.  As soon as I  can 
  49. get variable sample length and rate, I shall be distributing it!

  51.      Right,  I have to include this on Digital Disk now, and then i have 
  52. to  see how much the lot packs to.  So that's all from me for  the  time
